How Can I Send Faxes?

Depending on the web portal you use, there are different options available for you to send faxes. These faxes can be spent by fax-to-email, VoIP faxing through a fax machine, or your web portal's fax feature.

General Fax-to-Email Services

All users can use our free fax-to-email service to wirelessly send faxes using their own emails.

✔ This convenient faxing method works great for "casual" faxers that send short faxes (less than 20 pages). 

Stratus Users

Our users that have a Stratus account can send faxes using their fax machine and a VoIP adapter (ATA). Stratus users can also opt to upgrade to StratusFAX to send faxes through their web portal. Having StratusFAX can allow users to send longer faxes more reliably. StratusFAX will also allow StratusLINK users to send faxes using the StratusLINK extension's faxing tool.

Enswitch Users

Enswitch users can use their web portal to send eFaxes quickly and easily. Enswitch users also have the option to upgrade to sFax to securely send large, multi-page faxes using their own fax machine and a VoIP adapter (ATA). 

Requirements for Faxing by Method

Each method for sending faxes will have certain requirements that need to be met. To implement any of these faxing solutions, contact our technical support team by calling (469) 429-2500 or emailing support@spectrumvoip.com. 

Fax-to-Email (FTE) Requirements

In order to start faxing over email for free, you will need...

• An FTE account set up by our technical support team.
• An extra phone number that is configured and routed for fax-to-email services.
• At least one, valid email address assigned to your FTE account.
• Access to your FTE account's email address(es).

Stratus Faxing Using a Fax Machine

In order for your fax machine to be able to fax using our services, you will need...

• A fax machine that has had its settings configured for VoIP faxing.
• An Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) connected and registered to your fax machine.
• An extra phone number that is configured and routed for faxing purposes.

StratusFAX Requirements

It is possible to use the Stratus web portal to send and receive faxes. In order to add this functionality for your Stratus web portal, StratusFAX will need to be enabled.

Note: StratusFAX is a paid service that costs $24.99 per month.

StratusLINK Faxing Requirements

The StratusLINK google extension can be used for faxing. In order to use StratusLINK's faxing feature, your Stratus account will need to have StratusFAX enabled.

Your Enswitch web portal can be used to send eFaxes for free with ease. To do this, you will need...

• Access to an active Enswitch account.
• An extra phone number that has been configured and routed for fax-to-email services.

• A $24.99 monthly charge for unlimited usage.
• A fax machine that has had its settings configured for VoIP faxing.
