What are Voicemail Reminders?

A Voicemail Reminder is a persistent notification that alerts users by email when there is a new voicemail message. This critical feature can be a great asset in time-sensitive or otherwise urgent situations. 

Whether it be an elderly resident slipping and falling in a retirement facility, a renter's sink flooding in an apartment building, or a business's server going down, a persistent reminder of a voicemail message can help ensure a rapid response in any potentially serious situation.

Users will be reminded at a configured interval until the status of the voicemail message is saved or moved to trash. Only these actions strip the message of its new status.

Enable Voicemail Reminders

1. Navigate to the Messages page.
    
   

   Quick Tip: If you are an admin Stratus user, such as an Office Manager or equivalent…

   1. Visit the Users page.
   
   2. If needed, use the search bar to find the user by name or extension number.
   
   3. Click the Edit icon and select l.
   

    
2. Go to the Settings tab.
   
3. Scroll down to the Notifications section.
   
   

   WARNING: If there is an After Email Notification method selected on this screen (i.e., moving the voicemail message to save or trash), then Voicemail Reminders will not apply. 

    
4. For the Voicemail Reminders option, select Email Notification.
   
5. In the Email Reminder Recipient(s) box, type an email address that should receive the reminders.
   
   

   Quick Tip: Click the Add another email icon to add other emails that should receive reminders.
   

    
6. Use the Notification Interval drop-down to select how long (in minutes) the system should wait before sending out another reminder. 
   
7. Click the Save button.
   

   ✔ Now your email should receive repeat notifications until the voicemail is checked.
