Phone Layout

1 | Power Indicator LED | Depending on the status of the phone, the power indicator LED may light up in different ways. |
2 | Touch Screen |
7-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive (5 points) touch screen. This screen shows information about calls, messages, time, date and other relevant data. Users can select items by tapping and highlight items by holding and dragging. T58 series phones support three idle screens by default. |
3 | HEADSET Key | Pressing this key toggles Headset Mode on and off. When Headset Mode is enabled, the HEADSET key will glow green. |
4 | MUTE Key | When the MUTE key is pressed, the other caller will not be able to hear you. When Mute is active, the MUTE key will glow red, and an icon will appear on screen. |
5 | REDIAL Key | Press the REDIAL key to call someone from a previously placed call. |
6 | Speakerphone Key | Press the speakerphone key to play the audio through the phone's speaker instead of the phone's receiver. |
7 | TRANSFER Key | Press the TRANSFER key during an active call to transfer the call elsewhere. |
8 | HOLD Key | Press the HOLD key to place a caller on hold with your music on hold playing. |

11 | Keypad | Dial extensions and phone numbers using the keypad. The keypad can also be used to interact with interactive voice menus. |
12 | Speaker key | Pressing the speaker plays the call's audio over the phone's speaker instead of the receiver. |
13 | Reversible Tab | When the phone is vertically mounted on a wall, the reversible tab helps keep the receiver attached to the phone. |
14 | Hookswitch | When the receiver is placed on the hookswitch, calls are hung up. Lifting the phone from the hookswitch can dial and answer calls. |
15 | Camera Lens (T58V only) | The lens of the camera collects video feed for video conferencing. |
16 | Camera Indicator LED (T58V only) | When the camera is active with the shutter open, the indicator will light up. |
17 | Shutter Switch (T58V only) | Using the shutter switch will enable or disable the camera. When the canera's shutter is closed, the indicator LED will disable. |
18 | USB 2.0 Port | Allows for USB headsets or Wi-Fi adapter dongles to be connected. |
Power LED Indicator
LED Status | Description |

Solid red | Phone is initializing. |
Fast flashing red (300ms) | Phone is ringing. |
Slowly flashing red (1s) | Phone has a voice mail or a missed call. |
Camera LED Indicator
LED Status | Description |

Phone is powered on with the camera connected correctly. Phone is idle or on an audio-only call. |
Flashing Green | Phone is receiving a video call. |
Solid Red |
Phone is on an active video call. The video call is muted. |
Slowly Flashing Red |
Video call is placed on hold. The shutter switch is open, but near-site video is not transmitting. |
Off |
The phone is powered off. The camera is disconnected. The shutter switch is closed. |
Idle Features
Depending on the state of the phone, the features shown on the phone's screen will change.
When a phone is not busy in an Active Call, the phone's screen will show multiple features for users to use when the phone is Idle. Some of these idle features include accessing the phone's voicemail, call history, directory, and more.
Voicemail
To access your voicemailbox from your own phone:
Access your voicemail box by pressing the Message key on your telephone or by dialing the voicemail access code (5001).
A voice menu system will ask you to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) followed by #. You will be presented with options for

- Dial 03 + Extension from any SpectrumVoIP desk Phone.
Example: If I am extension 101, I would dial 03101 to reach my own voicemail from any of your business' SpectrumVoIP phones.
- During the voicemail greeting, press the * key.
- When prompted, enter your voicemail PIN and press the # key.
Listen to Voicemails Remotely
- Call your business's number and have the call transferred to the extension.
Quick Tip: Alternatively, you can call your own DID (Direct Inward Dialing) number if you have one set up.
- Wait for the phone to finish ringing.
- During the voicemail greeting, press the * key.
- When prompted, enter your voicemail PIN and press the # key.
Call History
To view the Call History, press the History soft key when the phone is idle.
You can also view Missed Calls, Placed Calls, Received Calls, and Forwarded Calls. Use the navigation keys to turn the pages of history. Pressing a soft key for an entry in the display will immediately call that entry.
Pressing the Information soft key to the right of an entry will present the following options:
- Send - Calls the entry.
- Delete - Deletes the entry from the list.
- Add - To add the entry to the local directory.
- Blacklist - Blocks callers.
- Edit - Opens the phone number in the Dial Pad without immediately dialing the number.
Do Not Disturb (DND)
Drag the navigation menu down from the top of the screen to toggle Do Not Disturb (DND) on and off.
When your phone is in DND, you will no longer accept incoming calls. Outbound calls can still be placed.

Redial
To Redial a recently placed call:
- Press the REDIAL key.
- In the Placed Calls list, tap the Up and Down arrows to navigate through the pages.

Quick Tip: You can double-press the REDIAL key to redial the last placed call.
Call Pick Up
If you hear a particular extension ringing, and you know that the owner of that extension is not able to take the call, you can take the call by using the “Call Pickup” feature.
To Pick up a call from another phone:
- Dial 07+EXT of the phone that is ringing
- If you have a BLF key set up on your phone, you can press their BLF Button to intercept the call when the BLF Key is blinking
Paging
Paging using the T5 series phones simulates announcing over loudspeakers by simultaneously utilizing all phones within a group.
To use the Paging feature:
- Either pick up the Handset, press the Speakerphone key or press the Headset key if applicable.
- Press the Page key when the phone is idle.
- Wait until after the phone sounds a beep tone, then begin speaking.
- When complete, press the Drop soft key to hang up.
NOTE: If there is not a page key on your phone, then paging may still need to be implemented.
Intercom a phone
The intercom feature allows you to make an announcement to another extension without requiring the other party to pick up the handset. The message will be played via the other phone’s speaker. The audio is two way, and the called party can respond immediately without picking up the handset.
To Intercom a phone:

Active Call Features
Place a Call
To place a call, dial the number or select the contact from your directory, and do one of the following:
- Pick up the Handset.
- Press the Speaker key.
- Press the Headset key to activate the headset mode.
Answer a Call
To answer a call, do one of the following:
- Pick up the Handset.
- Press the Speaker key.
- Press the Answer soft key.
- Press the headset key.
To answer an incoming call while already on a call:
- Press the OK key or tap the Answer soft key.
The incoming call is answered, and the original call is placed on hold.
Transfers
You can transfer a call to another party in one of the following three ways:
- Blind Transfer: Transfer a call directly to another party without consulting.
- Attended Transfer: Transfer a call after consulting with the receiving party.
- Voicemail Transfer: Transfer a call directly into another user’s voicemail.
Blind Transfer
To perform a Blind Transfer:
Press the Transfer key during a call.
- Enter the number of the party receiving the transfer or locate them by pressing the Directory soft key.
- Press the Send soft key to call them.
- Press the Transfer key two times to complete the Blind Transfer.
Quick Tip: You can cancel the transfer before the call is connected by pressing the Cancel soft key.
Attended Transfer
To perform an Attended Transfer:
- Press the Transfer key during a call.
- Enter the number of the party receiving the transfer or locate them by pressing the Directory soft key.
- Press the Send soft key to call them.
- After the party answers the call, announce the caller. Note: Announcing the caller to the party receiving the transfer makes it Attended.
- Press the Transfer key to complete the transfer.
Quick Tip: Before completing the transfer, you can cancel it by pressing the Cancel soft key, or by hanging up and resuming the call with your original caller.
Voicemail Transfer
To perform a Voicemail Transfer:
- Press the Transfer soft key during a call.
- Enter 03 then the extension you want to transfer the call to.
- Press the Transfer soft key to complete the transfer.
Mute
Press the Mute key to mute the microphone during a call, and press it again to un-mute the call.
Call Parking
With Call Park, you can place a call on hold from one desk phone and continue the call from another.
Park a Call
While on an active call, press one of the green park keys. It will turn red, indicating a call is parked.
Retrieve a Parked Call
Press the red park key and you will be connected to the call.
Conferencing
Create up to three-way video conference call, and up to five-way audio-only and video mixed conference.
To place a 5-way Conference Call (on your phone):
- Place a call to the first party.
- After the first party answers the call, press the Conference soft key to place a new call. The active call is placed on hold.
- Enter the number of the second party, and then press Conference.
- After the second party answers the call, press the Conference soft key on the second party call screen to join all parties in the conference.
- Repeat steps 2 to 4 until you have added all intended parties.
Managing members of the conference
Long press the icon of the user on your conference screen to mute, hold, or kick the individual user from the conference.
