Step 1: Create a Cal.com Account Step 2: Find the API Key for Cal.com Step 3: Integrate Cal.com with Iris

Cal.com is a free scheduling software that users can use to schedule appointments. This is done by allowing Cal.com to access your calendars. 

If you would like Iris to be able to integrate with your Cal.com account to perform scheduling tasks, follow the steps below. 

Step 1: Create a Cal.com Account

You will first need to create an account with Cal.com so that it can be integrated with Iris.

  1. Go to https://app.cal.com/signup.
  2. Follow the steps provided to create your account.
     
  3. When prompted, verify your email address by checking your email for a Cal.com: Verify your account email.
  4. Once you verify your email, select the type of plan you want to use, such as the For personal use plan.
  5. In the Connect your calendar section, select the service you use that provides your calendar. 
  6. Follow the prompts that appear to login to your calendar's provider and allow Cal.com access to your calendar.
  7. Use Cal.com's Event types page to add the different types of meeting callers should be able to schedule.

 


Step 2: Find the API Key for Cal.com

Now that you have an official account with Cal.com, you can 

  1. Go to the following webpage:
    https://app.cal.com/settings/developer/api-keys 

    Note: Alternatively, you can click the Developer settings hyperlink in the Enable Cal.com integration menu.

     
  2. In the API keys section, click the + Add button.
  3. In the Create an API key menu, type a name for identifying this API Key and an expiration date for the API Key if one is needed.
  4. Click the Save button
  5. In the API key created successfully menu, click the Copy button.

 


Step 3: Integrate Cal.com with Iris

  1. Go to the Settings tab of the Iris page.
  2. Scroll down to the Cal.com Integration section.
  3. Click the Enable integration button.
  4. In the Enable Cal.com integration menu, input the following:

    • Cal.com API Key - Paste the API Key that you copied from Cal.com.
    • Event type - Select an existing Event Type from the Event Types page of your Cal.com account.
  5. Click the Enable button.

    ✔ You should now see Event you selected shown as enabled and listed in the Call.com Integration section.
