Add Programmable Keys to Your Conference Phone
Learn how you can enhance your conference phone with BLF and speed dial buttons to make calling your contacts more convenient.

To make calling important people and companies easier, there are speed dial and BLF keys that you can tap to place calls quickly. You can view the programmable keys you have so far using the list on the left-side of the Home screen.
If you have more programmable keys than what are listed, you can scroll down through this list. You can also expand the list by tapping and hold the list. Use the white circles that appear to adjust the dimensions of the list.
You can add BLF and speed dial keys to your conference phone using its Programmable Key menu. To view the Programmable Key menu, tap the Edit icon under the list of buttons on the left side of
In the Programmable Key menu, you can view, edit, and add more programmable keys.
Add Programmable Keys
Using the conference phone's Programmable Key menu, you can add more keys to use to contact people and companies.
- In the Programmable Key menu, tap the Add button at the top-right.
- In the Add Programmable Keys menu, tap the Key Mode option to select the type of programmable key to add.
- In the Key Mode menu, select from the following types of keys:

Speed Dial - Add a key that will dial a phone number when tapped.

Busy Lamp Field (BLF) - Add a key that will dial a coworker's extension number.
Quick Tip: This type of key will also include a colored circle that will show the user's status.
The colors you will see indicate the following statues for users:
• Solid Green = Available
• Solid Red = Busy or on a call
• Flashing Red = Ringing -
Intercom - Create a key that you can tap to intercom a specific user's phone.
- Speed Dial via Active Account - If you have two extension numbers registered for use by the conference phone, you can create a speed dial that will dial the phone number its set to dial using the extension number currently in use.
- Dial DTMF - Create a key that dials a string that determines what DTMF input will be dialed to perform a specific, scripted action.

Call Park - Create a call park key that you can press during an active call to park it. You can also press a call park key to retrieve parked calls.

Multicast Paging - Add a key that you can press to intercom multiple phones using a multicast paging channel.

Dial Prefix - Add a key that can be pressed to add a prefix to the Dialing screen to make calling feature codes and star codes easier.
Note: Feature codes are dialable codes that are set up by default when your account is created to be used by your phones or softphones to perform a specific function.

These codes can be created to enable specific call forwarding, switch the phone number that will be shown for an outbound call, and more!

Pressing a Dial Prefix key will add that prefix to the Dial screen. From there, you can continue to dial the extension number or phone number that would be used with the feature code or star code. -
Speed Conference - Create a key that can be pressed to start a conference call with multiple contacts.

Speed Dial - Add a key that will dial a phone number when tapped.
- In the Number section, type in the name and number the key will dial when tapped.
- For Speed Dial keys, type a name to display for the key and type in the phone number that should be dialed by the key.
- For Busy Lamp Field (BLF) keys, type the name of the coworker and their extension number.
Quick Tip: You can tap the Contact
icon to select an existing contact that you would like to create a speed dial/BLF key for.
- For Speed Conference keys, type an identifiable name for the conference call triggered by this key and the contact information of the people that will be dialed. You can also select if the conference will automatically mute participants that join.
- For Call Park keys, type the name and extension number of the park.
- For Multicast Paging keys, type a name for this key and the paging channel that will be used for paging.
Quick Tip: For paging all phones on your internet network, type 224.0.1.15:10000.
If you would like to set up separate paging channels for paging different groups of phones, contact our technical support team for further assistance.
- For Dial Prefix keys, type a name to identify the prefix, such as its purpose, and the prefix itself.
- For Speed Dial keys, type a name to display for the key and type in the phone number that should be dialed by the key.
- When you are ready, tap the Confirm
icon to save this key.

Repeat steps 1-5 for each additional key you need to add.
✔ Now you should have multiple programmable keys that you can use to make contacting people easier.
You should now see these programmable keys listed on Home screen of the conference phone. You can scroll down this list and tap keys to call people as needed.
Edit Your Speed Dials and BLFs
Over time, speed dial and BLF keys may need to be updated to match name changes
- In the Programmable Key menu, tap the Edit icon.
- In the MPK Management menu, tap the Edit
icon shown on a key.
- Use the Edit Programmable Keys menu to edit the name and number for the key.
- When you are done, tap the Confirm
icon.
Delete a Programmable Key
If you need to remove a speed dial or BLF key, you can use the MPK Management menu to select a key to delete and tap the Delete icon.
